Self-regulation, the ability to effectively recognize, control, and manage thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, is an essential piece of healthy development in early childhood and beyond. Self-regulation skills help individuals to learn, form relationships with others, cope with stress, manage behavior, and succeed academically and professionally. In this webinar we will unpack the importance of self-regulation, as well as explore what it looks like and how it is best supported across ages and developmental stages. We will discuss practices informed by current research for teaching and supporting self-regulation in children. Additionally, we will share VLS resources and highlight leadership’s role in fostering the self-regulation skills of their program staff.

This training is designed primarily for Program Managers, Training & Curriculum Specialists, and other CYP program leaders. To attend you must have a Virtual Lab School (VLS) account. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email directly from Government Zoom containing information about joining the webinar.
