The Virtual Lab School (VLS) team will be offering our next Live Leadership live Webinar (LLW) via Government Zoom in May! This webinar on Setting the Stage for Positive Guidance was originally scheduled for February 2025 and will now be offered on May 21, 2025. If you previously registered for the February session, your registration is still active, and you do not need to re-register. Please see the details below, including a link to a registration form to sign up. Our live webinars are currently only available to military-affiliated leaders with a VLS login. To see the registration link, make sure that you are logged in.
As always, the training will be recorded and published on the VLS site for those unable to attend the live session. Both public and military-affiliated users may view the recording of this webinar at the VLS Webinar Archive.
A preventative approach to challenging behavior relies on positive guidance to teach children the skills they need to successfully navigate the world. In this webinar, we will discuss why positive guidance is critical for all child and youth programs and examine leadership’s role in setting the stage for these practices. We will focus on how program leaders can help establish and maintain a commitment to universal supports, such as an effective workforce, nurturing and responsive relationships, and high-quality, supportive environments, all of which provide the foundation for positive guidance to thrive in child and youth programs.
This training is designed primarily for Program Managers, Training & Curriculum Specialists, and other CYP program leaders. To attend you must have a Virtual Lab School (VLS) account. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email directly from Government Zoom containing information about joining the webinar. Registration for this webinar is limited to the first 500 individuals.
